{"id":2092,"date":"2025-06-26T15:31:31","date_gmt":"2025-06-26T13:31:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cirinet.it\/?p=2092"},"modified":"2025-06-27T20:04:09","modified_gmt":"2025-06-27T18:04:09","slug":"future-perspectives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cirinet.it\/index.php\/en\/organization\/future-perspectives\/","title":{"rendered":"Future Perspectives"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Focus<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the coming years, CIRI-IT will focus on expanding its activities in the areas of&nbsp;<strong>research<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>scientific collaboration<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>health communication<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>public health promotion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Centre is committed to&nbsp;<strong>strengthening and enhancing<\/strong>&nbsp;its operations by consolidating existing projects, launching new studies, and fostering collaborations across disciplines and institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To support this growth, CIRI-IT plans to&nbsp;<strong>upgrade its research infrastructure<\/strong>, including new facilities and advanced equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key Development Goals<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Expand the network of affiliated universities<\/strong>\u00a0across Italy to increase academic collaboration and scientific capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Broaden the national network of General Practitioners (GPs)<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Family Pediatricians (PLSs)<\/strong>\u00a0to support ongoing and future research activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Strengthen partnerships<\/strong>\u00a0with national and international institutions, research organizations, and scientific societies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Advance epidemiological and laboratory studies<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI)<\/strong>\u00a0to assess the clinical, public health, and economic impact of major pathogens\u2014particularly among vulnerable populations. Special attention will be given to emerging or re-emerging pathogens with epidemic or pandemic potential.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Design and coordinate observational studies<\/strong>\u00a0evaluating the\u00a0<strong>real-world effectiveness of vaccines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coordinate post-marketing surveillance<\/strong>\u00a0to monitor vaccine\u00a0<strong>safety and tolerability<\/strong>, in alignment with recommendations from European regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Enhance collaboration with research groups<\/strong>\u00a0working on\u00a0<strong>mathematical modeling<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Health Technology Assessment (HTA)<\/strong>\u00a0applied to prevention and health promotion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Develop and implement innovative data analysis systems<\/strong>\u00a0using\u00a0<strong>Big Data methodologies<\/strong>\u00a0to process clinical, epidemiological, and diagnostic-laboratory datasets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reinforce communication with the national and international scientific community<\/strong>, sharing research outcomes coordinated by the Centre, and\u00a0<strong>disseminate evidence-based information<\/strong>\u00a0through the regularly updated\u00a0<strong>CIRINET website<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Promote public-facing scientific communication<\/strong>, ensuring evidence-based messages reach the general population.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Organize conferences, seminars, and workshops<\/strong>\u00a0aimed at continuous professional development for healthcare workers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provide scientific support<\/strong>\u00a0to both regional and national public health services, while respecting the roles and competencies of the relevant institutions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Strategic Focus In the coming years, CIRI-IT will focus on expanding its activities in the areas of&nbsp;research,&nbsp;scientific collaboration,&nbsp;health communication, and&nbsp;public health promotion.
